Dear R users,
When I try to install R I get R.app and R64.app. I would like to
keep only one version of R in my Mac (Snow Leopard). I would like to
keep only the 64 bit version, but I don't like the name R64.app. So I
need to install the 64 bit but with the name R.app. Is this possible?

Sure, delete (or move) R.app and rename R64.app to R.app. Cheers, Simon

What's in a name....? (It's only the GUI engine anyway, the real workhorse is elsewhere.) Just delete the R.app and rename the R64.app to whatever you deem appropriate.
