Hi Jennifer,

You need to start X11 before loading tcltk.

first place... If you use Mac OS X 10.3 or higher, it's located on  
the installation CDs/DVD - look for the X11User.pkg (depending on the  
exact version it may be well hidden). For 10.2 or older you need  
either Apple's beta or XDarwin, whichever you'll find first.

You will also need the tcltk library itself which is supplied in the  
CRAN installer, but optional by default.
