The 12/16/03 version updates R-devel to the latest CVS version and updates the CRAN and Bioconductor packages. It also adds new CRAN packages, bringing the total to over 400 packages. This R is a framework build, where /Library/Frameworks/R.framework contains Darwin/X11/Aqua versions of R-devel. A soft link R in /usr/local/bin will start R in the various CLI's. RAqua is there, in /Applications, now simply called R. The quartz device works from the various Python shells, the X11 device works from all shells. Make sure /usr/local/bin is in your path and observe /usr/local/lib/R is no longer used and can be removed from your computer. There is no longer an R-1.8.1 in the framework, and /Library/R is no longer used either. Rpy is updated to work with the new setup. R.app is relocatable. This version has the new organization of the base package used in R-devel. I removed RQuantlib and the GTK based packages. I included the wrong Emacs support files in the previous version, that has been fixed. === Jan de Leeuw; Professor and Chair, UCLA Department of Statistics; Editor: Journal of Multivariate Analysis, Journal of Statistical Software US mail: 9432 Boelter Hall, Box 951554, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1554 phone (310)-825-9550; fax (310)-206-5658; email: deleeuw@stat.ucla.edu homepage: http://gifi.stat.ucla.edu ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------- No matter where you go, there you are. --- Buckaroo Banzai http://gifi.stat.ucla.edu/sounds/nomatter.au
