Kevin, Just to make sure: You are aware that there is an editor built in to the R.app GUI, right? Once you open R.app, go to the file menu and use new or open. For more serious tasks I use xemacs and emacs speaks statistics http://ess.r-project.org/. For this you will need to be running X11. Julin

I recently bumped into Xcode for a few times in Mac when I directly opened scripts. Would Xcode be a good editor to learn? Are there a lot people use it? I don't know what you use to edit your files. Can you recommend? Thanks for any information. Kevin
