[R-meta] Question on Fisher's z possible range of values
Dear Gabriel It might help get better answers if you said why you want to know and why experimenting with extreme values of r has not enlightened you. In principle z takes on any value on the real line although you would need an r very, very, very close to 1 to get anywhere near infinity. Michael

Hello all,
I would like to ask what is the theoretical possible range for Fisher's z
correlation coefficient --output of the conversion from Pearson's
product-moment correlation coefficient ( *r* )-- determined by means of the
"Metafor package function escalc() as follows:
## Transformation of Pearson's Product-moment correlation coefficients (r)
to Fisher's Z
dat <-escalc(measure = "ZCOR",
ri = ri,
ni = ni,
data = dat)
Thanks a lot for your help.
Kind regards,
Gabriel
