[R-meta] question on multilevel model results
Dear Lukasz, Thank you very much for the useful information and links. Kind regards, Gabriel On Thu, Jul 27, 2023 at 1:27?PM Lukasz Stasielowicz <

Dear Gabriel, The sigma values in the rma.mv output can be interpreted as tau values. Take a look at the examples at the bottom: https://wviechtb.github.io/metafor/reference/rma.mv.html Based on the sigma values, one can estimate other measures. There was recently a question about estimating I2 and R2, so I will link to the answer: https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-sig-meta-analysis/2023-July/004832.html Best, Lukasz -- Lukasz Stasielowicz Osnabr?ck University Institute for Psychology Research methods, psychological assessment, and evaluation Lise-Meitner-Stra?e 3 49076 Osnabr?ck (Germany) Twitter: https://twitter.com/l_stasielowicz On 27.07.2023 12:00, r-sig-meta-analysis-request at r-project.org wrote:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Hello all, I would like to ask why, conversely, rma() objects for rma.mv() objects (with and without moderators ) in the summary report do not provide
values
of heterogeneity measures besides Cohen's *Q* such as "tau/hat/ square"
or
"tau/square" or H^2?
Is this maybe because this type of model (rma.mv()) does not allow the
estimation of these measures?
Alternately, could they be calculated separately for rma.mv() objects?
If so, is there a code for doing this ?
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,
Gabriel
