Hello everyone. I'm Martin from Argentina. I am wanting to do a meta-analysis of the difference in means, baseline-final CRP drug vs pacebo. The problem is that complete data is not reported in most studies. Especially the standard deviation. What I have found is that they report the Final/baseline ratio in both groups. With these data you could calculate the difference in the ratios and their 95% CI. It is feasible to perform a meta-analysis with this data. My options would be meta-analysis of proportions (in this case I have the proportion but I don't know which one to use), perhaps another option would be the generic method of inverse variance where I would meta-analyze the difference in the proportions in both branches. Would any of these options be correct? Or can you tell me what would be the best method in this case? Thank you very much and happy holidays to all.
