[RsR] Data generation from Laplace distribution in R
It seems to me that in the zero mean case you should generate exponential data and attach a random +/- sign. You can translate the resulting data to centre on the desired mean for the general case. Murray Jorgensen
Hi, Everyone, I have problem in data generation using Laplace distribution. i tried "rlaplace()" in VGAM package but when i install this package then predict(lm(...)) and resid(lm(...)) etc does not work. please let me know if anyone who know how to deal with it, and generate Laplace data. it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance, Dost,
