[OGRUG] A Show of Hands -- Summary (David Bissessar)
Hi David, I've only just joined the list. I would be very interested in attending the meeting. I'm not sure I could give a whole talk, but I can certainly participate in discussion about using R to clean up and make sense of dirty datasets. I have more deadends and failed attempts than sucesses, but there may be some interest in what doesn't work. I have also learned a few little quirks about some of the Government of Canada data hosted at data.gc.ca that may be useful. Daniel Buijs

As well, if you have a special area of interest or if you'd be willing to make a brief presentation to the user's group, please do let me know. Depending on the level of interest, we'd take next steps, which might involve finding a sponsor, a location to meet and organizing regular presentations. As appropriate, I'll summarize the feedback received to the mailing list.
