For what it's worth:

We all really need a venue to discuss this and to 'make some hay'. Maybe over
on r-sig-hpc?

A weekend workshop would also be a good idea. ?Anyone? ?Buehler?

I think Buehler is supposed to make a cameo at the superbowl this
weekend, so the timing of all this stuff coming to the fore is rather
auspicious.
