Hi Joseph, I hope you do not mind me cc'ing the list , I feel as others might find this information useful too - You can check out the "non-data" version of your package from: https://hedgehog.fhcrc.org/bioc-data/trunk/experiment/pkgs/msd16s using your svn credentials and then update/add more biocViews. That said, I have added MicrobiomeData for your package, If you face any issues while updating your package in the future, please let us know. ExperimentData packages get built twice a week(Sat & Wed) - so the change will be evident post Wednesday. Thanks Sonali. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: Experiment Data biocViews updates Date: Mon, 08 Dec 2014 15:43:52 +0000 From: Joseph Nathaniel Paulson <jpaulson at umiacs.umd.edu> To: Sonali Arora <sarora at fredhutch.org> Hi Sonali, Hope all is going well. I saw the new data biocViews for the experiment data. I was wondering if we could add: MicrobiomeData to the msd16s package to get it more visibility? I don't currently have access as it's a data package. Thank you!

Hi everyone, We have revised the Experiment Data biocViews and have updated most of the Experiment Data packages using our word lookup function( recommendBiocViews() ) . Package Authors are encouraged to check the new biocViews added to their Experiment Data package and add more relevant ones from the new updated Experiment Data biocViews tree. The new Experiment Data biocView tree can be viewed at : http://www.bioconductor.org/packages/devel/BiocViews.html# ___ExperimentData Just a friendly reminder - You are allowed to add biocViews only from the category of biocViews that you're package belongs to. For example, ExperimentData Packages can contain biocViews only from the Experiment Data biocViews category. We hope that this updated tree will help you find test data more easily and efficiently, for the new software packages that you write. -- Thanks and Regards, Sonali
